APPLICATION DEADLINE NOW CLOSED

City Property Glasgow (Investments) LLP (CPGI) is continuing to monitor the position with regards to the Covid-19 outbreak and is acutely aware of the impact this is having on our tenants and the wider economy.

Our team has been working on a process for assessing rental support requests and have now developed a Coronavirus Tenant Support Application Form our tenants may be eligible to complete. CPGI will consider applications for Rental Deferment, which is a delay in when you have to pay rent. Limited rent free periods will only be considered for tenants evidencing the greatest need. More information on how to apply can be found below.

We will continue to assist you throughout this very difficult period and in the first instance, please carefully consider the list of business resources outlined in Appendix 1 on the application form before submitting.

Tenant Support Application
City Property (Glasgow) LLP
Exchange House, 229 George Street
Glasgow G1 1QU

APPLICATION DEADLINE EXTENDED – All applications must now be received no later than close of business on Friday 28th August 2020.

Where possible, we would encourage you to continue to pay your rent as normal if you are able to do this.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN MY APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED?

The decision on rental assistance will be at the sole discretion of CPGI or with the approval of Glasgow City Council, if CPGI is acting as an agent on behalf of the Council. These measures are aimed at supporting our tenants throughout this challenging period so that they have an opportunity to recover. The support package has been developed in order to help:

  • Protect jobs
  • Prevent business closure
  • Promote economic recovery

CPGI will review your application and assess whether you are eligible for assistance. We will contact you if we require any clarification or further information. We anticipate a large volume of applications and as such we ask for your patience as we undertake what will be a significant exercise to assess, authorise and seek the necessary approvals to ensure the correct allocation of assistance.

Please note, the Coronavirus (Scotland) Act passed by the Scottish Parliament, extends the period of notice which a landlord has to give when taking action against tenants for non-payment of rent if the landlord wants to bring the lease to an end. The Act does not waive or cancel the right to claim the rent, but does, in effect, pause any action which the landlord can take.

HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?

In the meantime if you have any immediate concerns over rental payments or any other tenancy related matters which you wish to discuss, please contact our Tenant Liaison Officer on 0141 287 1122 or info@citypropertyglasgow.co.uk. Please note, due to the significant number of calls we are receiving, we have now setup an additional phone line to help deal with any enquiries on 0141 287 5259.
